Boiler Upgrade Scheme

A government grant towards replacing a fossil fuel heating system with a heat pump. It is paid to your installer and comes off the price of the job, so you do not claim it back yourself.

£7,500towards an air source heat pump

  • Open to people in England and Wales.
  • For replacing an existing fossil fuel heating system. Gov.uk lists these as oil, gas, electric or LPG.
  • Available for a home, or a building used for your business.
  • Until March 2027 an additional £1,500 is available towards an air source heat pump where the property is heated by oil or LPG and has no mains gas connection.
